The other day I was watching Gran T0rino with A. Needless to say, ol’ Clint was a total bad-ass. His form reminded me of the younger bad-ass who mesmerized me in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly and Fistful of Dollars. Those spaghetti westerns are some of the best films ever made, largely because of the work of Clint and Sergio Leone. But as this is a blog focused mostly on music, I will speak of third visionary, Ennio Morricone, who created the soundtrack to these great films and many many others. Below is an anthology of his work in film and some bad ass covers by John Zorn of his best songs from the westerns.
